Islands of Oceania

A cruise vacation through Oceania combines exotic destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, French Polynesia, Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea. The highlights during an Oceania cruise

In this continent, there are so many highlights you simply have to experience, too many to mention. Consider, for example, the diverse Australia, also known as the land down under. Like the largest coral reef in the world, the 'Great Barrier Reef' in Queensland, the remarkable pink lake; 'Lake Hillier', the numerous different animals and the pristine nature on Kangaroo Island. French Polynesia is also a magical place, with its many islands such as Bora Bora and Moorea. These islands are enviably beautiful with golden beaches and crystal clear waters. A great location for a honeymoon or anniversary. And to think we haven't mentioned New Zealand yet. The land of endless scenery, fjords, mountains and waterfalls. Walk like a hobbit through the rugged and gigantic landscape. It makes you feel like you are playing a part in The Lord of the Rings.

Where do we start...

First, look at the destinations and your preferred travel period. It is, of course, incredibly important to have the right expectations for your vacation. Cruises usually depart from ports such as Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne, Papeete and Brisbane. Most cruises are offered from December through March. During this period, it is the opposite season to ours; that is, summer in Oceania!
